The model of this knotty pine corner cupboard was inspired from a photograph found on the cover page of Jean Palardy’s book entitled “Les meubles anciens du Canada français” (The Early Furniture of French Canada). |

The carcass was assembled using mortise-and-tenon joints . The back of the piece is made of tongue and groove beveled pine planks of varied widths. For finishing the piece, two coats of stain and three coats of hand rubbed varnish were applied. |
